包括Linux Kernel項目在內的眾多老牌開源社區采用郵件列表的形式進行交流和Patch Review等工作，而Kernel社區每天發送的Patch郵件數量就可能達到數千封。SOPHGO（算能）系列RISC-V SoC郵件列表的建立，方便了后續開發者和維護者對SOPHGO相關的RISC-V代碼提交的維護和歷史歸檔工作。包括算能（SOPHGO）、中國科學院軟件研究所（PLCT實驗室）、山東大學等甲辰計劃成員單位在過去兩年中持續穩定地進行上游貢獻（upstream），幫助多個RISC-V SoC 的代碼補丁被Linux Kernel社區接收。目前仍然有大量子模塊的upstream工作可以貢獻，歡迎根據文末的wiki地址查閱感興趣的子模塊。
